3 Ways to Help Resettled Refugees Acclimate Faster | Nhi Aronheim

This powerful talk shares how we can help resettled refugees acclimate faster so that they can thrive and contribute to their host country sooner. Also how we, as communities and individuals, can provide supplemental mental health support for refugees when they experience depression and the shock of having to restart their new lives. Nhi shares 3 ways, in addition to mental health resources, that we can help legally resettled refugees integrate faster: community support, individual support, and refugee contribution. Mediator and Author of Soles of a Survivor, Nhi understands what it is like to be a refugee as well as the struggles and triumph that come with it. Several anthologies including Kentucky Women: Two Centuries of Indomitable Spirit and Vision, Colorado Public Radio, and Harvey Brownstone Interviews have profiled her harrowing journey as a child refugee who escaped war-torn Vietnam in search of the American Dream.
